I had a long break from drawing and painting. Recently I've been commissioned to create some illustrations for a private client, and it reminded me that I never really had my old work online. Partly because I was taught that your portfolio has to be consistent, that it's better not to throw everything in one place, separate your commercial work from personal, and especially not to put photography alongside with illustration; have different portfolios, dozens of Instagram accounts, etc.
It works for people, who are passionate about one particular metier and are certain about their medium of choice, which is not my case. All I know - is the fact that I enjoy making images, some of them are coming from the inside, some I have to find outside. I understand my personal preferences regarding style and the subject matter and think that they are consistent, whether I work with paint, pen, film or digital camera.
During my last year in ESMOD Paris, we had to participate in a design competition, conducted by famous Parisian shoe atelier-Delage. Together with 3 former classmates, I won the contest. My design "Tyler", from the collection below, was included in the atelier's collection. It was exciting to see my design executed with the usage of finest materials, it was pre-Instagram time, hopefully, soon I will find a snap shot of it.
P.S. Too bad that the winners didn't even get a discount on the pairs of their own designs... Free student labor, ladies, and gentlemen.Read More

This month I was commissioned to create a set of original icons for a business presentation of one American events production company. Photography has been my main focus for the past 7 years, long enough break from any sort of illustration/painting/drawing activities!Read More
